Learn farming with Guruprasad Kurtkoti

Guruprasad Kurtkoti, fondly known as “Guru”, is a passionate farmer, coach, and writer who chose purpose over comfort. Leaving behind a well-paying job in the United States was not an easy decision, but it was one made from the heart, to give back and inspire others.

Together with his wife Asha, he founded Belesiri, a platform dedicated to educating people in scientific and sustainable farming practices such as Hydroponics (soil-less farming) and Natural Farming.

So far, Guru has trained over 5,000 students, many of whom launched and scaled successful agri-businesses under his mentorship. To support them further, he established the HyFAI Farms community, a collaborative network that helps farmers implement best practices, adopt innovative methods, and connect with the right markets to sell their produce effectively.

When not training or mentoring, Guru can be found practicing Natural Farming on his farmland near Sirsi, Karnataka. Beyond the fields, he is also an avid writer, regularly contributing articles and stories to leading Kannada magazines and newspapers. He has authored several books covering diverse themes—from farming experiences to life reflections and humour.
